Japanese Elm Bonsai 日本榉树

This is Elm zelkova, also known commonly as the Japanese Elm. It is a beautiful bonsai species that appears very much like a tree. Leaves are thin and serrated, and this species is known to have higher resistance against certain elm-related diseases, which makes it very desirable in the bonsai scene.

This piece is just like a miniature tree leaning slightly to the side, with its lush foliage creating a conical canopy. It is potted in a white flat rectangular pot elevated with legs.
