Red Pine Akamatsu Bonsai- Japanese origin

A rare Red Pine bonsai styled in very feminine flow. Visualize just a beautiful Japanese lady in her Kimono, paper fan on her hand. Dance in slow movement like a Geisha, one step a time as the music plays on. 

Red Pine has fine soft needle foliage in dark emerald green, aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Akamatsu is found in mountainous regions in Japan. Its deep dark red bark make it easy to identify .  Akamatsu has gentle, long and thin leaves as well as a slim trunk. It is called mematsu (female pine) in contrast to kuromatsu (Japanese Black Pine) which is dynamic and called ''omatsu'' (male pine).

Originally, akamatsu grows wild in mountainous regions but not in seaside areas. So it is tolerant of desiccation. A sufficient amount of water should be given at intervals after the soil surface dries up and turns white.
