Carmona Bonsai - Fukien Tea 滿福木/福建茶

The Carmona or Fukien Tea tree is native to parts of Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Australia. Its name comes from its place of origin, Fukien or Fujian, China. In China, Fukien Tea bonsai trees are very popular for Penjing. The Fukien Tea (Carmona microphylla) categorised as the Boraginaceae plant family. A tropical species, evergreen shrub, its leaf surface feel glossy waxed, shinier in the light. At the right condition setting, it will bloom with pure white flora all year round. If fruiting manifest, its fruit is red in color with seeds. This bonsai piece is upright straight, standing tall. Speak to us the importance of upright mannerism , honesty is the best policy.
