Japanese Black Pine Kuromatsu 日本黑松

The Japanese Black Pine, or Kuromatsu bonsai is one of the most loved bonsais out there. Originating from the wild mountains of Japan, this is a hardy species with a striking appearance. It is known for its visually-appealing emerald green needle-like foliage and, most importantly, its unique tortoise-shaped bark plates, which ages beautifully and adds a sense of strength and resilience to the tree. 

This elegant Japanese Black Pine bonsai features a dynamic, informal upright style with a rugged, textured trunk that conveys strength and age. Its dense clusters of long, dark green needles are skillfully balanced, creating a sense of harmony and movement. Planted in a striking cobalt blue pot an excellent example of traditional Japanese bonsai aesthetics.
